HPMA High Concentration Circulating Water Scale Dispersant

HPMA, Hydrolyzed Polymaleic Anhydride, is specially developed for high-concentration circulating water operation modes with accumulated high hardness and high alkalinity. Its unique maleic acid long-chain structure endows it with ultra-high calcium tolerance, and it will not form polymer calcium sediment even under extreme water quality with saturated calcium and magnesium ions, which solves the failure problem of ordinary dispersants in high-concentration water systems. It has excellent comprehensive inhibition effect on calcium carbonate, calcium sulfate and calcium phosphate inorganic scales, and its ability to disperse iron oxide rust mud and sediment is obviously better than conventional polyacrylic acid PAA. HPMA has excellent thermal stability, and can keep stable scale dispersion performance under high temperature environment up to 150℃, so it can be safely used in boiler cooling water and high-temperature industrial heat exchange systems. The product also has certain biodegradability, which brings less environmental pressure to subsequent wastewater treatment. In actual industrial application, HPMA is often compounded with HEDP and PBTC phosphonates to build high-efficiency high-concentration water treatment formulas. After using this compound scheme, the circulating water concentration multiple of the system can be increased to 5-6 times of the original, the wastewater discharge volume is greatly reduced, and enterprises can significantly cut water purchase fees and terminal wastewater treatment costs. Long-term stable use of HPMA can avoid the accumulation of hard scale and sticky mud on heat exchange equipment, maintain stable production heat exchange efficiency, and reduce the downtime loss caused by equipment cleaning.
